This Cookie Policy explains how webp-to-png.tools (“the Site,” “we,” or “us”) uses or may use cookies and similar browser technologies.
webp-to-png.tools is independently owned and operated by Ahmed Ali. Ahmed Ali is the data controller for personal information processed directly by the Site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, and device or advertising identifiers.
These technologies may remember preferences, measure website use, support security, or enable advertising. Cookies used by the website are separate from image conversion. The converter does not place the selected image contents in a cookie.
Local Image Processing
The current web converter processes selected images inside your browser and does not intentionally upload those image files to our servers.
This does not prevent the website or its providers from making ordinary network requests. Cloudflare Web Analytics currently measures aggregate usage without cookies or local storage for its analytics metrics. Google Analytics or advertising services may use cookies or identifiers only if they are configured and enabled.
For the broader distinction, read the Privacy Policy and Security page.
Categories Used or Described on the Site
Necessary and preference technologies
The Site, WordPress, hosting, or security infrastructure may use essential storage when needed for an operational or security function. The current public Site does not present a dedicated cookie-consent or Cookie Settings control.
Public article comments are disabled, so the Site does not currently need WordPress comment-preference cookies for public commenters.
Analytics
The Site currently uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page use and performance. Cloudflare states that the service operates without cookies and does not use local storage for its usage metrics. See the Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation.
Google Analytics may be used only if it is configured and enabled. When enabled, it may use cookies, local storage, or other identifiers and may receive technical and activity data, depending on configuration and available choices.
Advertising
Google AdSense may be used to display and measure advertising only if it is configured and enabled on the Site.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device or advertising identifiers, and interaction information. Depending on configuration, region, and user choices, these technologies may support ad delivery, measurement, frequency control, fraud prevention, or personalization.
Providers and Duration
- Necessary or preferences: may be set by the Site, WordPress, hosting, or security infrastructure for an operational or security function; duration depends on the specific technology.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: currently active; Cloudflare states that its analytics metrics do not use cookies or local storage.
- Google Analytics: may set or use identifiers only if it is configured and enabled; duration then depends on the deployed settings and Google.
- Advertising: may be set by Google AdSense and advertising partners only if advertising is configured and enabled; duration depends on the provider, configuration, region, and user choices.
- Comments: public article comments are disabled, so public comment-preference cookies are not currently required.
Cookie names, providers, and durations can change when service configurations change. Your browser’s storage controls provide the most direct view of cookies currently stored on your device.
Managing Your Choices
The current public Site does not present a dedicated cookie banner or Cookie Settings control. You can manage browser storage directly using your browser settings. If optional cookie-using services are enabled later, this policy and any available controls should be updated to reflect the deployed configuration.
You can also:
- View, block, or delete cookies through your browser
- Restrict third-party cookies through browser privacy settings
- Manage advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings
- Review Google’s Privacy Policy
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services
Deleting cookies may cause the Site to ask for your choices again. Blocking some technologies may affect advertising or convenience features, but it does not require the selected image to be uploaded for conversion.
Third-Party Control
Third-party cookies and identifiers are controlled by their providers. Their collection, retention, combination, and deletion practices are governed by their own policies and settings, not solely by this Cookie Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if the Site’s technologies or providers change. The date above identifies the latest published version.
