Released a reliability, performance, and interface update for the browser converter.
- Locked the public workflow to WEBP input and PNG output.
- Added file-signature validation and clear rejection of reverse-direction input.
- Enforced the 20-file batch and 50 MB per-file limits.
- Added decoded pixel and dimension safeguards.
- Removed PNG quality and PNG-8 controls that did not match the active encoder.
- Fixed file removal, repeated event handlers, temporary object URL cleanup, and queue reset behavior.
- Kept conversion sequential to limit simultaneous memory pressure.
- Changed ZIP support to load only when a ZIP is requested.
- Reduced converter assets on the homepage to one stylesheet and one main script.
- Stopped loading converter assets on pages that do not contain the tool.

Added Google advertising to support the web service and updated the privacy and cookie disclosures. Advertising and analytics operate separately from local image conversion.
September 4, 2025 — Batch Conversion Release
Added a workflow for selecting and converting up to 20 WEBP files and downloading completed PNG files together as a ZIP. The current file-size limit is shown in the Current Verified Capabilities section.
August 15, 2025 — Public Launch
Published the browser-based WEBP-to-PNG workflow with local image processing and no account requirement.
