About Us

WEBP to PNG Tools is a focused web utility for converting WEBP images into PNG files. The service is designed around a clear conversion direction, local browser processing, useful batch limits, and honest documentation of what the tool can and cannot do.

Ownership and Responsibility

webp-to-png.tools is independently owned and operated by Ahmed Ali. Ahmed Ali is also the data controller for personal information processed directly by the Site. Questions about the website, privacy, security, or copyright can be sent to [email protected].

Ahmed Ali is the owner and operator of webp-to-png.tools, an independent browser-based image conversion website. He oversees the Site’s converter documentation and published technical guides.

Why This Tool Exists

WEBP is widely used for efficient image delivery on the web, but it is not accepted by every editor, upload form, presentation tool, or older application. PNG is often easier to use when broad compatibility, static transparency, or further editing is required.

WEBP to PNG Tools was created to make that format change available without requiring an account or a desktop installation.

Our Product Principles

A focused workflow

The public converter accepts WEBP input and creates PNG output. It does not automatically reverse direction or present unrelated format choices on the main page.

Local image processing

Selected images are converted inside the browser. The converter does not intentionally upload the selected WEBP files or generated PNG output to our servers.

This statement applies to image conversion. The website still uses normal hosting connections and Cloudflare Web Analytics, and may use other analytics or advertising services if they are enabled, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Clear, enforced limits

The current converter accepts up to 20 files per batch and up to 50 MB per file. It also applies decoded image safeguards and shows a message when a file cannot be accepted.

Transparent limitations

By default, an animated WEBP is exported as one static PNG from its first frame. In browsers with compatible full-frame decoding, the optional All frames (ZIP) mode exports numbered PNG frames and a timing manifest in a ZIP archive. It does not create APNG or preserve the animation as one playable file. Converting a lossy source does not restore missing detail, and browser conversion may remove image metadata or embedded color-profile information.

How the Website Is Supported

The Site currently uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website performance and aggregate usage. Cloudflare states that this service operates without cookies and does not track individuals across customer sites. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may be used if they are configured and enabled in the future. These website services are separate from the local image conversion path and are not intended to receive selected image files.

Cookie, analytics, and advertising information is available in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Product Information and Updates

Released changes are recorded in the Product Changelog. Planned or unverified features are not presented there as completed work. The App Status page lists only confirmed availability and official links.

Accuracy and Feedback

We aim to keep limits, labels, privacy explanations, and known constraints consistent across the website. If you find an outdated statement, broken workflow, or reproducible conversion problem, please contact WEBP to PNG Tools.
