This Privacy Policy explains how webp-to-png.tools (“the Site,” “we,” or “us”) handles information when you visit the website, use the browser-based image converter, or contact us.
webp-to-png.tools is independently owned and operated by Ahmed Ali. Ahmed Ali is the data controller for personal information processed directly by the Site.
Image Conversion Stays on Your Device
When you select an image for conversion, the current web converter processes that image inside your browser. The converter does not intentionally upload the selected image file or converted output to our servers.
The converted file is made available for you to download to your device. We do not receive ownership of your images.
This statement applies to image conversion only. The website still connects to hosting infrastructure, Cloudflare DNS and reverse-proxy services, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Google Analytics or advertising services may create additional network traffic only if they are configured and enabled, as explained below.
Information We May Receive
Website and technical data
When your browser requests a page, the Site and its technical providers may receive information such as:
- IP address
- Browser, device, and operating-system information
- Requested page, referrer, date, and time
- Basic error, performance, fraud-prevention, or security information
This technical data does not include the image selected in the converter.
Information you submit
You do not need an account to use the converter.
If you email us, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, subject, message, and any attachment you deliberately send. Please do not send sensitive images or information through ordinary email.
Public article comments are disabled. The Site does not currently invite or display article comments.
Cloudflare Web Analytics and optional Google services
The Site currently uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website use and performance. Cloudflare states that this service operates without cookies and is not designed to track individual visitors across different customer sites. See the Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation.
Google Analytics and Google AdSense may be used if they are configured and enabled. When enabled, and depending on configuration and available choices, those services may receive device, browser, IP-address, page, interaction, cookie, local-storage, or advertising-identifier data. Google controls its own processing under its Privacy Policy and its explanation of data from sites that use Google services.
The converter does not intentionally send your selected image files to Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Analytics, or advertisers.
How Information Is Used
Information received through the website may be used to:
- Deliver, maintain, and secure the Site
- Diagnose errors and improve usability
- Detect abuse, fraud, or harmful activity
- Understand website use and performance
- Display and measure advertising if an advertising service is enabled
- Respond to messages and requests
- Comply with applicable legal obligations

Where a cookie preference control is displayed, use it to manage the available categories. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser and review advertising choices through Google Ads Settings.
The converter does not place the selected image contents in a cookie or require the image to be sent to our server.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Website and contact data may be processed by providers used for hosting and email. Cloudflare currently provides DNS, reverse-proxy delivery, and Web Analytics. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may process data only if those services are configured and enabled. Third-party providers follow their own privacy notices for processing they control.

Retention
The Site does not retain selected image files because the converter does not send them to us.
Retention for technical records, email correspondence, consent records, and service data depends on the type of record and the configuration of the relevant provider. Contact us for current information about records controlled by the Site. Third-party retention is governed by each provider’s settings and policies.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights concerning personal data, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection.
You may also:
- Avoid submitting information by email
- Manage cookies through available Site and browser controls
- Manage Google advertising preferences
- Contact us with a privacy request
We may need enough information to understand and respond to a request. Data controlled directly by Google or another provider may need to be managed with that provider.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us.
Security
Local image processing reduces the need to transmit or store image files on our systems. It does not eliminate every security risk associated with websites, browsers, devices, extensions, networks, email, or third-party services.
