These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of webp-to-png.tools, including the browser-based image converter, website content, and related pages (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
webp-to-png.tools is independently owned and operated by Ahmed Ali.
1. The Service
The Service currently provides a browser-based workflow that accepts WEBP image files and creates PNG files.
Current public features and limits include:
- Local image conversion in the browser
- Up to 20 files per batch
- Up to 50 MB per source file
- Individual PNG and batch ZIP downloads
- First-frame PNG by default; optional all-frame ZIP in supported browsers
- No account requirement
Features, limits, compatibility, and availability may change. The Product Changelog records verified releases, while the Features and FAQ pages describe current behavior.
2. Eligibility and Acceptance
You may use the Service only if you can legally agree to these Terms in your location. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising use by minors where applicable.
3. Local File Processing
The converter processes selected image files inside the browser and does not intentionally upload the selected source files or generated output to our servers.
The website itself still makes ordinary network requests to load pages and currently uses hosting, Cloudflare DNS and reverse-proxy delivery, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Other analytics or advertising services may create network requests only if they are configured and enabled. Review the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Security page for the relevant distinctions.
You are responsible for maintaining safe original copies and for managing files downloaded to your device.
4. Your Images and Rights
You retain any rights you already hold in images you choose to process. Local conversion does not transfer ownership of those images to us.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to possess, process, convert, download, and use each file. You must not use the Service to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights.
Because selected images are not hosted by the converter, we generally cannot access, review, recover, or delete them for you.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purpose
- Violate intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights
- Attempt to introduce malware or malicious code
- Probe, attack, disable, overload, or interfere with the Site or its infrastructure
- Circumvent technical limits or access controls
- Use automated requests in a way that degrades the Service or violates applicable rules
- Misrepresent affiliation with or endorsement by WEBP to PNG Tools
- Copy, resell, frame, or present the Service itself as your own without permission
We may restrict access or take reasonable technical and legal action when we believe use threatens the Site, other users, providers, or third parties.
6. Output and Conversion Limitations
Conversion changes the file format; it does not guarantee that an output will satisfy every editing, color, archival, printing, accessibility, or legal requirement.
In particular:
- PNG conversion cannot restore detail removed from a lossy source.
- By default, animated WEBP files produce one static PNG from the first frame. In supported browsers, the optional all-frame mode produces numbered PNG frames and a timing manifest in a ZIP archive; it does not create APNG or preserve the animation as one playable file.
- Browser conversion may remove metadata or embedded color-profile information.
- Damaged, unsupported, unusually large, or highly compressed images may fail.
- Results can vary by browser, device, and available memory.
Review each output before relying on it, and keep an independent copy of the source.
7. Accounts, Fees, and Advertising
The current converter does not require an account or payment. Google AdSense may display advertising only if it is configured and enabled on the Site.
Public article comments are disabled. Comments are not an accepted channel for support, privacy, security, copyright, or legal notices.
We may modify how the Service is funded or introduce, change, or remove features in the future. Any paid offering would be described separately before purchase.
8. Website Content and Intellectual Property
Except for content owned by users or third parties, the Site’s software, design, text, branding, graphics, and documentation are owned by or licensed to the Site operator and are protected by applicable law.
These Terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not grant ownership of the Site, code, branding, or documentation.
Feedback may be used to improve the Service without an obligation to pay or treat the submission as confidential. Do not send feedback you are not authorized to disclose.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site currently uses Cloudflare for DNS, reverse-proxy delivery, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Hosting and email providers also process the network or correspondence data needed to operate the Site. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may be used only if they are configured and enabled. The availability, content, data practices, and terms of third-party services are controlled by those providers.
We do not endorse or control every third-party page, advertisement, product, or service shown or linked. Use third-party services at your own discretion.
10. Availability and Changes
The Service may be changed, suspended, interrupted, limited, or discontinued. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability, compatibility with every file, or advance notice for every change.
Maintenance, provider failures, browser changes, security events, legal requirements, or other circumstances may affect availability.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We disclaim warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted operation, and error-free results. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site operator and its owners, contributors, providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, files, profits, business, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the Service.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
14. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, provider requirements, or suspected violation of these Terms.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute-related provisions, will continue to apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest published version. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to later use.
16. General Provisions
If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign rights under these Terms without permission; the Site operator may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, service transfer, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, together with the policies expressly referenced, form the agreement concerning use of the Service.
17. Contact and Related Policies
Questions about these Terms can be sent to the Site owner and operator, Ahmed Ali, through the Contact page or at info@webp-to-png.tools.
